Upon the directives of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, the Investment delegation of the State of Qatar, headed by Qatar Investment Authority, arrived in the Republic of Macedonia to explore opportunities of investing in this country. The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Georgi Ivanov, welcomed the Qatari delegation in his cabinet and presented to them the investment opportunities in the Republic of Macedonia in its various sectors. The Macedonian President conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, wishing him good health and success and to his people further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.

 The Qatari delegation held bilateral meetings with government institutions responsible for attracting foreign investments, as well as holding meetings with local companies to learn about the investment opportunities offered by the Macedonian side.
